Legacy Giving at St. Paul’s
Leave a Legacy That Lasts
What is Legacy Giving?
Legacy giving—also known as planned giving—is a powerful way to support the future of St. Paul's Episcopal Church through your estate plans. This includes naming St. Paul’s as a beneficiary in your will, trust, life insurance policy, IRA, or investment account.
These gifts can be of any size. You don't need to share amounts or details—just let us know that St. Paul’s is part of your legacy.
Why Legacy Giving?
For over 100 years, legacy gifts have helped sustain the mission and ministries of St. Paul’s. They’ve funded sacred music, supported outreach programs, maintained our historic building, and ensured we can worship, serve, and grow in Christ for generations to come.
Legacy giving is an opportunity to make a lasting impact—especially if giving during your lifetime feels difficult. It’s a way to reflect your faith and values well into the future. And by making your plans now, you not only fulfill your philanthropic goals—you also give your loved ones the clarity and peace of mind that comes with knowing your wishes.
How to Make a Legacy Gift?
Making a legacy gift can be simple. You can include St. Paul’s in some of the following ways:
As a beneficiary of your will or trust
As owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy
As a beneficiary of your IRA or other qualified retirement account
As a beneficiary of an investment account
To name St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as a beneficiary of your will, trust, life insurance policy, or retirement account, the following language may be helpful when completing estate planning documents or beneficiary designation forms:
“...to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 East 40th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111 (EIN 44-0556859)…”
